As you all know, the Arizona Republic has undertaken a wayward critique of Arizona charter schools in the past couple of weeks, including erroneous and misunderstood reporting about BASIS Charter Schools. We have responded appropriately but forcefully to these stories – and have been gratified by the outpouring of support from parents and the public.
BASIS Charter Schools and BASIS.ed stand for excellence and high expectations, and always will. Ironically, the stories came out contemporaneous with our unprecedented acclaim by U.S. News & World Report, which had BASIS charter school campuses sweeping the top five ranked public high schools in America, with additional campuses in the nation’s top 15. (Our network also has seven of the top eight charter schools in the United States). This is a remarkable testament to the BASIS Curriculum as well as our founders, our teachers, our students, and our parents. Thank you!
That is why we thought you might enjoy this dose of common sense from one voice of reason at the Arizona Republic, columnist Robert Robb, who wrote a compelling piece in defense of Arizona charter schools in general and the network of BASIS charter school campuses, quite specifically.

Thank you again for all you do to make BASIS Charter Schools a great Arizona, and American, success story.
